About the M24 Chaffee

Developed as the successor to the M3 and M5 Stuart light tanks, the M24 Chaffee was formally adopted in 1944. It featured sloped armour, a powerful 75mm main gun originally developed for the B-25 bomber, and torsion bar suspension for improved mobility. The Chaffee saw action across France, Western Europe, and Italy before going on to serve in the Korean War and the Indochina War.
